Our client, a global manufacturer, is hiring a Sr Accountant to join their team in Danbury. Company offers great benefits and opportunity to learn and grow.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the monthly and year-end accounting close procedures, entering journal entries, accruals and other adjusting entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
2. Provide thought partnership to the Controller to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function
3. Lead various projects as they arise
4. Assist in the provision of tax and regulatory reporting for government entities
5. Consult with external auditors in performance of interim and annual audit of financial statements
6. Periodic review and testing of internal controls
7. Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned

Your Experience Should Include:

1. General accounting experience in a complex environment (preferably manufacturing)
2. Experience working with multiple entities in a multi-currency environment a plus
3. Knowledge of MS D365 preferred but not required
4. Participation or ownership of month-end closing processes
5. Experience implementing process improvements in an office environment

1. High levels of integrity and ethical standards
2. Accounting Degree
3. Possesses a strong systems background and excellent analytical skills
4. Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
5. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
6. Knowledge of ERP systems and ability to work well with others
7. Innate desire to drive efficiency and accuracy
8. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and with competing priorities
9. Ability to develop, implement and adhere to accounting policies and financial controls
