Editor reviews, edits, and re-writes a variety of documents and/or digital content. Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compelling content for written copy and/or websites and other online communications media. Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The role of Editor/Animator may be better categorized as a post-production generalist with advanced knowledge of PC- based After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop required. Intermediate knowledge of Power Point, Illustrator, and Audition are preferred. This role needs a motivated individual who offers opinions on how to make assets more engaging to the audience; not just a "button-pusher."
The Editor/Animator will be working on Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Advertising content. Brand/Marketing/Commercial content experience is preferred.
This is an in-office position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and at least three years video production experience working as a professional with corporate clients.
- Familiarity with all aspects of video production.
- Ability to work with a production team and directly with clients on innovative approaches to visualizing a project.
- Work with team members on video productions based in studio and field environments.
- Show samples showcasing proficiency with editing and motion graphics software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop).
- Understanding Corporate Communications and Brand work, and how to turn client creative briefs into executable content.
- Professional attire (business casual).

- Must treat deadlines with a sense of urgency, work well under pressure, and possess a high degree of adaptability.
- PC based IT skillset – ability to troubleshoot computer issues, updates, backups and keep the system optimized is a plus.
