Technuf is seeking a skilled and experienced Economist.

Job Description:

Some of the examples of work but not limited to, in this role are:

The Contractor shall use their expertise in economics, fair housing and fair lending to prepare professional research standard quality data and statistical analysis to:

• Recommend improved statistical methods for identifying violators of the Fair Housing Act
• Assess potential discriminatory effects of current or proposed regulations and policies and/or
• Review Government-Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) policies, procedures, and data to recommend areas of targeted enforcement.

The contractor shall clean and/or utilize data provided by HUD when necessary. All research reports under this task shall include:

• Research Design and Analysis Plan (RDAP) - the Contractors RDAP shall define each research question, document literature sources that will be cited, and provide a thorough discussion of the proposed research methodology in addition to a justification for the approach. The plan shall provide a timeline for research milestones and highlight dependencies critical to meeting proposed deadlines.
• Interim Report - The contractor shall provide an interim report that includes a completed methodological approach which details data sources and literature references used. The report shall indicate whether the project is achieving its stated objectives according to the initial workplan and timeline; indicate and explain any foreseen or unforeseen delays or obstacles to the implementation of the project as well as corrective measures implemented to rectify any discrepancies/deviations between planned and actual implementation.
• Final Report - Final Reports shall be clear, accurate, and written for both technical and nontechnical audiences. An example of final report shall include these components:
• Introduction & Hypothesis Description
• Literature Review (brief and concise to the question(s) of interest)
• Economic/Statistical Model/Empirical Methodology
• Data Description (includes summary statistics and limitations)
• Empirical Analysis (explanation of results)
• Conclusion & Policy implications (provide context of the results)

Requirements:

Experience working with Housing and Urban Development is preferred.

10 years of experience in housing or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
