Job Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for abiding by all Hite policies and procedures and is a reliable representative of Hite Consulting to Hite employees and customers. The Project Manager will be responsible for adhering to contract agreements, schedules, budgets, managing employees, tracking deliverables, processing invoices, and providing reports for Hite and for the customer. This position is fully remote and applicants should be located in the following states: GA, FL, MD, VA, DC, with limited travel particularly to project locations in Atlanta and/or the Washington, D.C. area.
This position is Contract Contingent and has not yet been awarded.
Project Management Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hite HQ Point of Contact for updating all contract information including the information provided by the customer, project reporting, and providing updates on all activities to the Hite corporate team;
- Produces Hite contract invoices monthly and submits to client for payment; updates Hite’s internal budgets to track profit margins;
- Pulls information sent by assigned employees to create monthly reports that are a part of the monthly submittals to Hite;
- Drafts and submits proposal documents and pricing for new bids on new potential contract opportunities for Hite;
- Updates Hite information in government websites; ensures Hite is meeting compliance requirements;
- Customer Point of contact, providing reports, schedules, and any information that the customer is requesting;
- Provides day-to-day oversight and monitoring of all project activities, including workloads and daily staffing, and addresses gaps in coverage as needed;
- Triages, assigns, and coordinates work, ensuring efficiency and productivity;
- Develops and implements a quality control plan for assessing, measuring, tracking, and reporting performance/quality of business services;
- Coordinates meetings, creates agendas, and identifies and follows up on action items;
- Responsible for communicating and providing updates on all activities to the project staff, and the COR;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and approves timecards and PTO requests, ensuring that project employees comply with timecard and leave request policies; works closely with Hite payroll to correct any timecard or PTO request discrepancies;
- As part of the Hite Corporate staff, works closely with the corporate team to address project employee needs/concerns;
- Provides employee feedback on their project performance and provides guidance or assistance as needed;
- Assists with recruiting and selecting project employees, and conducting on-boarding and other HR-related activities;
- Serves as back-up for other Hite project managers, as needed;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar field;
- Minimum of four years’ experience managing projects
- Proposal writing experience/certification;
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for many different projects; tracking timelines, budgets, and making sure scope of work is being followed;
- Knowledge of government contracting and requirements for proposals and pricing; overall government processes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to present value added ideas to corporate staff in meetings;
- Demonstrated experience training and managing staff;
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight;
- Demonstrates organizational skills and able to track multiple projects with different guidelines;
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and other systems that the company uses;
- Must be a US Citizen as this position requires the candidate to be eligible for a DHS Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP certification;
- Experience working within the discipline of a PMO office;
- Federal government and/or management consulting experience.
