Come join the team as the Associate Director, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). In this newly created role you'll be responsible for the successful application of the S&OP process inclusive of ensuring balance of demand and supply while optimizing company profitability, and leading and enhancing Sabra’s S&OP capabilities by driving alignment between various business functions. This role will report into the Sr. Director of Logistics, ensuring team adherence to commitments made through the S&OP Process. Please note this role is not being offered fully remote at this time and will require on-site presence to our VA office.

Ensure that the S&OP process is sustained and effectively yields desired results.
Manage designated team of Demand, Supply and 3PL Replenishment planners including the hiring of new talent, ensuring they are trained and proficient in company tools and systems, conducting performance reviews/conversations, creating development and succession plans, and providing regular feedback against company goals
Provide inputs to annual operating plan (AOP) discussions and long-range planning. Monitor and adjust plan as required as business needs change.
Provide proactive and regular updates on issues related to out-of-stock items, service issues, supplier issues, production schedule adherence, order issues, inventory metrics, and other related issues
Ensure that new product introduction NPI and discontinuation plans have been properly communicated and are included as input to the demand planning process.
Oversee demand planning function to assure correct generation of unconstrained demand forecast and to implement/adopt tools to streamline and increase automation of demand forecast generation including continuous improvement processes to improve forecast accuracy at aggregated and SKU levels. Ensures the demand review process happens routinely and on time.
Execution of the supply review processes, ensure supply constraints are clearly defined with potential trade-offs. Oversee supply planning weekly cadence to optimize production and inventory plans based on customer orders and demand plan
Work with Plant Operations team to identify opportunities for improvement related to capacity planning, production scheduling, productivity, plan attainment and target inventory levels
Develop and maintain models and analytics as enabling tools for tactical and strategic use in the S&OP cycle. Generates what-if scenarios based on captured risks, opportunities, and inputs from the S&OP cycle to guide decision making. Periodically analyze long term capacity needs in advance of required internal and copacker lead times to add capacity
Improve and execute capacity planning process to align and balance supply with demand to provide input for labor and equipment requirements for short and midterm planning
Ensure cross-functional business plans (Customer Service, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance) are synchronized in future periods and key disconnects are highlighted and resolved.
Develop SKU segmentation based on business rules and historical sales performance to build supply models (make to order, finish to order, make to stock) to deliver inventory and service level targets
Responsible for projecting and maintaining inventory levels per corporate commitments through collaboration with Supply Chain team to optimize network inventory.
Accountable for key metrics of Forecast Accuracy, Inventory (DIO) and days on hand, Fill Rate, E&O, and supply chain costs. Implement actions to improve these KPI’s
Ensure all data generated via S&OP is timely and accurate and shared with the appropriate personnel
Review the S&OP process to ensure its alignment with contemporary best practices and is suitable for our dynamic business needs. Drives continuous improvement to streamline the process and bring best practices to Sabra’s S&OP process. Leverage automation and technology including using existing tools (SAP) and developing additional dashboards and analytical tools.
Hold contributing personnel, including leadership, to account for agreed actions, mitigation of risk and realization of opportunities as identified in the S&OP process. Escalate as appropriate

Recipe for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering. MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a highly analytical supply/demand planning (S&OP) environment, demand planning, supply planning, new products introduction, material planning and S&OP process, or Integrated Business Planning, CPG and perishable food background preferred
Proven business management experience working across organization and varying levels of leadership with minimum five years in a managerial role
Knowledge and experience in SAP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) highly sought and/or MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials required planning, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics
Highly skilled communicator with proven ability to communicate complex analytical conclusions simply and succinctly; influence or persuade others through oral and written presentations in positive or negative circumstances; listen well
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders across the organization, including listening to understand multiple viewpoints and their relevance to the success of S&OP outcomes
