ERP Administrator is responsible for the administration of an organization's ERP system to facilitate reliable performance, integrity, and security. Processes, validates, and maintains ERP data to ensure accurate system records. Being an ERP Administrator monitors ERP security and manages user access and permissions. Assists and supports the planning, testing, and deployment of new ERP modules, upgrades, and patches. Additionally, ERP Administrator documents ERP system processes and may conduct end-user training to promote effective use and best practices. Tracks and manages support requests to ensure timely resolution of issues or bugs. Maintains, generates, and analyses ERP reports to support organizational planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The ERP Administrator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Summary
    The position provides overall leadership for ERP projects, oversees selection and implementation of the applications and/or services or upgrades to existing on-premises applications, and drives continuous improvement to business processes and business results. The position also assists in coordinating upgrade efforts to leverage enterprise resources, knowledge, and best practices.

    The position works closely with the CIO, business, and technical leadership, serving as an expert resource, bringing forth opportunities to leverage ERP initiatives to better the business and influence decisions regarding business process changes.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
    Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.

    Applies business process knowledge by providing oversight of business process activities,

    Manages highly complex business issues arising from the implementation of new processes or functions.

    Provides technical expertise to support the development and implementation of ERP systems and assists in procuring hardware, software, and services.

    Manages the ERP initiative to meet the needs of the business.

    Responsible for ERP projects, including project planning, maintaining and controlling budgets and schedules, resources and resource allocation, and team organizational structure management.

    Responsible for project communications.

    Manages project scope and issue resolution.

    Assists with managing project risk.

    Leads formal direct report teams and informal cross-functional teams.

    Responsible for quality of project deliverables and determines metrics that will be used to assess effectiveness of new process.

    Manages integration of solution(s) into enterprise technical architecture and business environment.

    Develop and maintain documentation related to the ERP system configuration and usage.

    Responsible for managing relationship with system integrator’s project manager and overseeing all aspects of the ERP implementation.

    Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers the anticipated benefits of the ERP system and that it meets the reasonable expectations of key stakeholders.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in in management information systems, business administration, computer science or related field; and
    • 10 years of IT and business/industry experience including 3-5 years of leadership responsibility managing midsize enterprise implementations; or
    • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Project Management Certification from recognized authority preferred.

    Other Qualifications

    • At least one successful ERP project (e.g., an ERP project that realized its anticipated business benefits and was delivered in a timely manner within budgetary boundaries) utilizing a Tier 1 ERP software vendor.
    • Experience with successful implementation of an ERP system in a complex environment, such as enterprise with a variety of business models, and multiple business units and legal entities.
    • Experience in financial and HR systems implementations, as well as supply chain management, distribution and manufacturing implementations.
    • Experience in the building materials industry a plus.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design and implementation.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to influence end-users, management and external partners.
    • Ability to speak to technical-level staff and summarize communications for executive consumption.
    • Experience with life cycle management of system development and business applications
