Westerman is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc.).

SUMMARY:

It is the responsibility of the Senior Project Manager to ensure that the company’s projects are executed in a timely and profitable manner while maintaining customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will work between cross functional teams to execute specific tasks and timelines and provide high level insight and escalation to leadership. This position will provide guidance to the shops and engineering staff with respect to equipment design and fabrication requirements. The right-fit candidate will be comfortable in self-directed environments. Should have a proven record of developing and leveraging strong working relationships to generate positive outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accountable for job costing and project profitability. A complete job file shall be maintained throughout the life of the project and shall contain all job-related information, including customer correspondence, specifications, drawings, bill of materials, parts delivery & picklists, quotations, change orders, cost estimates, inspection reports, delivery receipts, invoices and final job costing.
• Monitor assigned projects to ensure that they are within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget and that the work is being performed within outlined policies and expectations. Will own agreeing to and coordinating customer submitted ECNs – including but not limited to determining and submitting ECN price to the customer.
• Responsible for scheduling assigned projects based on quoted delivery, customer needs and the workload in the shops. The schedule shall be reviewed weekly (production meeting).
• Review the job material and requirements and direct the Commodity Manager(s) to obtain quotes when appropriate. The Project Manager shall approve all job purchases. Purchase orders are not to be released until the approval process is completed.
• Responsible for a complete and accurate material pick list and tracking dates the material is required for every assigned project.
• Ensures work orders are compliant with the project’s controlling documents, assists in the determination of work priority, and establishes workflow processes that support work management and operational goals.
• Scheduling of all required drawings and completion dates with Engineering. They will work closely with the technical team during the creation of the associated drawings. This schedule will be reviewed weekly. Responsible for creating a drawing transmittal and project file that will be kept on file within each respective project’s network folder structure.
• Assist the Sr. Superintendent of Operations with the development of the Project Management team, including (but not limited to): assigning tasks, monitoring progress, communicating instructions, providing assistance, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field

Experience

• Minimum 5 years project management experience
• Effective meeting management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel (as required) to support projects
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to review and comprehend technical drawing packages including Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s), General Arrangements, and fabrication detail drawings.
• Ability to comprehend project specifications and contract documents.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5-10 years Oil & Gas production experience
