EHR Database Report Writer is responsible for data administration, analysis and management reporting from EHR (electronic health record) database. Collaborates with end users to understand reporting requirements and uses Clarity or similar report writer software to create a variety of simple to complex reports using Structured Query Language (SQL) queries. Being an EHR Database Report Writer typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty, Epic/Cerner or similar certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a successful EHR Trainer you must become able to do the following always:
Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for staff and others as determined, including publishing training calendars, performing required mandatory and on-going skills development, using appropriate training tools to ensure transfer of learning,
Prepare and manage data and paperwork necessary to meet all required training requirements and guidelines. Responsible for training database entry. Track staff training and ensure staff training transcripts are accurate and updated. Regular reporting on training goals. Responsible for monitoring training attendance and effectiveness.
Assist with regular training needs assessments and curriculum development. Work closely and consult with the EHR Administrator to identify basic and advanced-level training needs. Collaborate with subject matter experts to research, design and develop training programs. Ensure that training programs meet accreditation and licensing standards, as well as current policies and procedures. Adapt training to changing company needs. Participate in and consult with groups and committees regarding training topics.
