EHR Database Report Writer jobs in Galveston, TX

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented database developer to create reports and data sets. You may have to provide quality coding solutions both for simple queries and complex reporting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and data mining. Attention to detail and an analytical mind are essential qualities for a successful career in programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce data structures.
• Integrate outside vendors to cloud hosted data warehouse sources to provide business analytics using AI.
• Work with developers to provide support for platforms under development.
• Use web-based tools to manage and maintain server environments.
• Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary
• Perform upgrades to make software and systems more secure and efficient

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to program in languages such as SQL, shell scripting, Python, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, MySQL and SQL
• Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability
• An analytical mindset and critical thinking
• Demonstrate ability to discover and fix data sets and reports

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of SDLC (software development lifecycle)
• Ticketing system knowledge

Required Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline
• Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role
• Minimum two years of experience in scripting languages including SQL
• Minimum two years of experience with SDLC

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Minimum two years of experience with mysql databases
• Minimum two years of experience with programming and scripting
