Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst, Sr. may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst, Sr. requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Position Summary• The EHR Applications Analyst will have primary responsibility for requirementgathering, design, build/configuration, testing, validation and ongoing support oftheir assigned Epic application(s) and third-party systems related to thoseapplications. The Analyst will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining indepthknowledge of the software functionality and acquiring/utilizing knowledgeof the operational workflows to be implemented with the Epic system. TheAnalyst will be responsible for coordinating aspects of planning, design,development, implementation, adoption, communication, maintenance andevaluation of existing or new functionality related to Epic and related informationsystems. Responsible for managing projects related to Epic and related thirdpartysystems. Attends webinars, seminars and workshops to learn about newdevelopments and changing technology trends; may participate in testingnew vendor provided software in a test environment for possible use bythe health system.o Maintain contacts with Epic partner and related vendors; attend productdemonstrations, user group meetings, Epic sponsored webinars, and/orarrange to acquire and install system upgrades.o Responsible for the coordination and completion of assigned projects,including project definition, assignment of task responsibilities, settingdeadlines, and all other aspects of project management.o Performs other related work as required.o Trains and mentors team members.o Strives to adhere to SIH Commitment to Care and ITS CoreCompetencies.
