EHR Application Analyst jobs in Ohio

EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Travel Percentage:    Up to 25%
    Job Shift:    Day

    Description

    Support with user and security management.
    Preference list modification.
    Provider master file.
    Creating and modifying letters.
    Letters activity and templates.
    Adding, editing, and troubleshooting printers.
    Adding, editing, and mapping workstations.
    Fee schedule maintenance .
    Testing new Epic functionality .
    Clinical content support including clinical content, SmartLists, SmartTexts, SmartPhrases,
    SmartSets, SmartForms, order groups, doc flowsheets and reporting workbench.
    Support and training including supporting remove access users, creating and documenting
    workflows, training and coordinating new hire, training and maintaining Lot Manager,
    MyChart support for existing members, upgrade training and testing coordination,
    coordinating resolution of Workflow issues.
    Train new employees on Epic if needed, specifically new employees.
    Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications


    Minimum of 2 years of Epic experience in similar or relevant role.
    Possess workflow knowledge.
    Strong understanding of clinical operations.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent administrative skills.
    Proficient in Word, Excel and webinar applications.

    Detail oriented.
    Self-motivated individual.
    Ability to hold oneself accountable.
    Experience with patient centered care.
    Punctuality and impeccable attendance.
    Non-judgmental approach to patient care.
    Technical skills with required office equipment.
    Patience and great attention to detail.
    Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.
    LGBTQIA cultural competency.
    Ability to adapt to a work environment that is constantly changing and not always
    structured.
    Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, excited atmosphere.
    Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.
    Ability to multi-task.
