EHR Application Analyst jobs in New York
EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Senior Epic Analyst - HIM
The Senior Epic Analyst is responsible for providing intricate tactical and operational support for all Epic HIM related applications.
Assists and facilitates the design, implementation, optimization, change management and issue resolution
related to the enterprise system and the clinical and business workflows it supports. Requires experience
working with enterprise systems such as the Epic platform as well as the applicable clinical and/or business workflows.
Preferred Criteria
• Degree or major in Computer Science
• Epic HIM Certifications in Identity, Hospital Coding, Deficiency Tracking and/or Release of Information
• ITIL Certification
• PMP Certification
• NYS Clinical licensure (Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, or other relevant allied health professional)
Required Criteria
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Epic Module Certification obtained within six months of employment
• 2 years years of previous work related experience
