EHR Application Analyst plans, analyzes, designs and modifies EHR (electronic health record) software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support the implementation of one or more software modules. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Being an EHR Application Analyst may be expected to write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, EHR Application Analyst requires EPIC Certification in one or more dedicated modules, such as Scheduling, Emergency Room, Patient Registration, or other medical specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR Application Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Your Valued Contributions:
    The Electronic Health Record Application Specialist maintains and optimizes the EHR, such as table building and system administration. Provides end user support for daily EHR/PM operations. Acts as a system resource.
    • Acts as software resource for the health center.
      • Oversees daily operations of EHR/PM and implements changes or improvements as necessary.
      • Troubleshoots internal EHR/PM issues raised by AHC staff, including connection issues; gathers incident reports from EHR/PM Liaison and reports all issues to software company liaison and Health Information & Privacy Manager. Monitors EHR operations at all assigned sites and troubleshoots any issues through remote connection.
      • Serves as a liaison for Information System Division, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
    • Maintains assigned system administration tables which may include, document builder, file maintenance updates, and any assigned system administration tables within the software for medical products.
      • Keeps the HI department informed of staff software issues, needs and problems.
      • Processes daily internal support calls and tickets. Contacts 3rd party software vendors to log all issues unresolved internally.
      • Verifies interface applications are started daily and are monitored for any errors or failures throughout the business day.
      • Complete interface monthly data validations to ensure data is mapping appropriately.
      • Updates and maintains Immunization and medication administration fields as requested by clinical staff.
      • Responsible for maintaining third party interfaces for outside labs and hospitals.
      • Responsible for user account maintenance for EHR and 3 party applications that interface with EHR.
    Required Training & Experience:
    • Ability to use the Electronic Health Records system at an advanced level effectively.
    • Possesses the ability to secure transportation to allow for reliable and timely work attendance, including when business is required to be conducted at sites other than your primary worksite.
