Develops diversity training curriculum and monitors changes in governmental laws and regulation to ensure that training stays current. Being a EEO Trainer designs and tracks metrics to measure the effectiveness of training on the workforce. May be responsible for working with outside vendors to deliver training. Additionally, EEO Trainer requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEO Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Overview

    We are currently seeking a Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical expertise for the implementation of training programs in support of Navy Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development efforts.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions/Job Duties:

    • Ability to function as trainer and training Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical expertise for the implementation of training programs.
    • Develops and updates training program documentation, such as Operations and Maintenance Instructor Guides, Trainee Guides and customer feedback reports.
    • Schedules and hosts required training-related meetings, provides meeting agendas, provides presentation materials and briefing documents, attends meetings and provides minutes, and provides meeting supplies in support of training activities.
    • Researches, reviews, and analyzes training program documentation in coordination with stakeholders.
    • Develops and delivers findings and recommendations, memorandum, briefs, and summaries of training matters.
    • Provides support to install hardware and software on platforms, by preparing afloat, shore, and submarine installation policies, processes, standards, and training documentation.
    • Applies regulations and policies affecting the installations.

    Equipment Used:

    • Personal Computer (PC) based systems and project related test equipment.

    Typical Working Conditions:

    • General office environment; Computer/Equipment lab

    Essential Physical Tasks:

    • Ability to lift 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.
    • Ability to use a personal computer, keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.
    • Occasional International or domestic travel by automobile or airplane up to 25% of the time. 

    Written Communications:

    • Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.
    • Demonstrates excellent (Clear and concise) written communication skills in a technical format, that will support in the development of all required plans and reports, required of the program.

    Verbal Communications:

    • Active communicator - able to present technical briefs, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
    • Ability to lead discussions pertaining to technical subject matter.

    Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Three (3) years of experience required
    • Technical Degree desired, or equivalent relevant experience in training environment.

    Customer Interface Activities:

    • Effective inter-personnel and customer service skills required to interface with corporate customers.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with the Customer, command staff, and peer contractor personnel.

    Project Management / Staff Supervision Tasks:

    • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum productivity.

    Work Schedule:   

    • 9/80
    • The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.
    • Long distance (>500 miles) travel to other US Government and Contractor facilities, as required.

    Travel: 15%

    Minimum Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science desired
    • BS can be replaced with additional three (3) years (six years total) of relevant experience

    Pay Range: $90,000.00 to $115,000.00 annuall, DOE

     

    U.S. Citizenship is required

     

    Security Clearance:

    Candidates must have an active clearance OR  the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
