Additionally, EEO Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes.     Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer, Director of HR Compliance and EEO Programs, the EEO Compliance Coordinator will have an integral role in ensuring that the university’s Recruitment and Selection process complies with relevant federal and state laws, as well as best practices, pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.

    The EEO Compliance Coordinator will provide guidance and assistance to hiring managers, search committees and peers in the Recruitment and Selection process as it relates to EEO/AA. In addition, this position will obtain and utilize statistical data for the purpose of the Affirmative Action Plan, EEO program planning and evaluation, benchmarking, compliance with government regulations, and development of recruitment plans.

    • Prepares the University's annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and files the university’s VETS 4212 which involves compiling applicant and new hire data with HR Systems Compliance Coordinator, analyzing statistical data and identifying trends in recruitment and selection processes, and establishing attainable placement goals.
    • Establish procedures and meets critical deadlines for collecting and updating required information in a timely and accurate manner. This also includes working collaboratively with university departments and colleges, and external auditors regarding compliance in the recruitment and selection process, Affirmative Action Plan preparation, university diversity goals and initiatives and other related projects.
    • This position will also be responsible for various administrative duties including document management, record-keeping activities, workflow management, and other duties as assigned, as well as performs other functions or special projects which may be on-going or short-term and which require project planning and coordination.
    • Performs annual, or as needed, audits on the institution’s Recruitment and Selection process to identify areas of opportunity, if any, in efforts to maintain and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and institution policies and procedures.
    • Monitors information from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), and the University's compliance with federal and state law. Additionally, maintains all AA/EEO aspects of the of the institution’s Recruitment and Selection process.
    • Gathers, compiles, analyzes, and interprets data necessary for external and internal EEO compliance, audits, reporting, and monitoring. Data may include recruitment, hiring, terminations, promotions, disciplinary actions, compensation (compensation statistics and market analysis), applicant flows, and transfers.
    • Conducts position evaluations, job classifications and assists in preparing job descriptions providing oversight of compliance with EEO regulations and labor laws.
    • Assist in compiling, analyzing, and reporting data and information (numerical/statistical/narrative) used to apprise management of the institution’s workforce profiles, hiring and retention trends, applicant profiles, peer comparisons and progress toward affirmative action and diversity goals, as well as responding to internal and external inquiries.
    • Assists in the assignment, planning and coordination of training of search committees and administrators. Participate in workshops with search committee members regarding the recruitment and selection process, AA/EEO compliance and other related topics.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, in a program of study related to human resources or business administration or experience in specialized and related work, in AAP preparation and implementation, recruitment and selection, utilization of Applicant Tracking Systems, such as Cornerstone.
    2. Knowledge of federal and state laws related to Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action.
    3. Experience with utilizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (Cornerstone, Oracle, etc.).

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    2. Experience with recruitment and selection process in a higher education setting.
    3. Experience in developing and implementing recruitment and selection guidelines.
    4. Certified as a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP

    • Ability to provide excellent customer service and employs good judgment in all communications and interactions throughout the university community.
    • Knowledge of and understanding of current state and federal regulations, institutional policies and procedures, and the departments practices relative to the search and hiring process.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks with minimum supervision
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, as well as the ability to work as a collaborative teammate.
    • Ability to arrange and coordinate recruitment and selection events.
    • Ability to effectively communicate, written or oral.
    • Ability to manage multiple job tasks simultaneously and provide high quality work.
