EEO Specialist administers programs that promote employee and vendor diversity. Ensures compliance with internal polices and external diversity regulations. Being a EEO Specialist fosters knowledge and adoption of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics and best practices. Ensures organization employs strategies to attract, develop, and retain members of underrepresented groups. Additionally, EEO Specialist compiles statistics, metrics, and reports to assess the progress and effectiveness of diversity initiatives. May be responsible for delivering diversity training. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEO Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Maintains OEEO complaint records in the designated system.
Ensures that records are accurate and usable in investigating OEEO complaints filed and in responding to external inquiries.
Conducts initial interviews for Title VI or Title VII complaints/issues that reside within the office of OEEO.
Receives, screens, assesses, and disseminates inquiries.
Qualifications:
Will have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree.
Minimum of 2 years experience at a Senior Accounting/Analyst/Auditor level related to engagements for financial institutions, real estate, public and/or private sector, Federal, State or Local government or other specialized area.
