EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. EEG Traveling Field Tech. - United States
NeuLine Health is seeking traveling full-time EEG and Sleep Technologists to administer in-home EEG routines, hook-ups, uploading, and disconnections for video studies. Must be FLEXIBLE to travel to multiple states throughout the US. Traveling expenses are covered by the company. A separate team monitors once the patient is hooked up. Our EEG Tech?s must be able to work independently, have basic computer knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills. One year, or longer, experience as an EEG or Sleep Tech. Experience as a traveler is a plus. Experience with 10/20 electrode placement is a major benefit. R. EEG T. or RPSGT preferred but non-certified techs with experience will be considered.
