EEG Technician jobs in State College, PA

EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an EEG Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

  • Responsibilities

    • Follow and adhere to a prescribed sequencing of production
    • Perform an assortment of electro-mechanical tasks
    • Assess the quality of incoming products and outgoing completed goods
    • Ensure production documentation and records are current and accurate
    • Identify and debug problems in products, processes, and equipment. Work with supervisor to find solutions.
    • Maintain production machines and equipment (I.E., preventive maintenance), as directed
    • Other duties, as requested
    • Follow the requirements of the Quality Management System
    • Follow the requirements of the Environmental Health and Safety Program
    • Follow all procedures that are in place for the department you are working in
    • Ensure equipment and work area is clean and safe
    • Ensure proper data is collected and entered in to the appropriate (ERP) system

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED, preferred

    Skills

    • Experience using a microscope to assemble extremely small components required
    • Ability to mix and dispense epoxies
    • Manual dexterity with hands and tools used in assembly operations
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Must be motivated person with a positive attitude
    • Willingness to work on a wide variety of products
