EEG Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The EEG Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be an EEG Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Come join the dynamic EEG Team at Nemours Children's Hospital. We are a family and patient experience focused pediatric hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. We provide care to three offsite clinics as well in DE, PA and NJ. You will get experience with EMU monitoring, outpatient and inpatient EEGs and LTMs as well as multiple ICU settings. We have a growing Epilepsy Surgical program that you may play a vital role in monitoring in and out of the OR. There is room for growth, and we provide many educational opportunities.
