Oversees e-commerce site developers to ensure that e-commerce sites are built and expanded based on evolving technology and business needs. Being an e-Commerce Manager creates and implements processes and procedures for integrating e-commerce sites with backend systems, including pricing, inventory, and customer relationship databases. Requires knowledge of common web development languages (e.g., HTML, Java, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, Python, AJAX.) Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, e-Commerce Manager typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The e-Commerce Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an e-Commerce Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities: The Lithia E-Commerce/Digital Marketing Manager reports to the General Manager. Develop, maintain and motivate Business Development Center and BDC employees to meet performance and growth goals. Analyze, review, recommend and build strategic and tactical changes to Internet Properties that drive business profitability by increasing visitors and improving conversion rates, capturing every possible opportunity to do business. Plan, develop and manage Internet based marketing communications initiatives. Maintain dealership e-CRM, customer and prospect database for purity and sales optimization. Plan and execute direct marketing activities (principally electronic and direct mail) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales. Monitor in-bound and out-bound tele-communications for prospect lead management and employee coaching. Monitor and manage web presence for accuracy and effectiveness. Develop strategies to increase website traffic through utilizing social media channels, search engine optimization and blogging Qualifications: Direct mail and/or electronic marketing, social media and search engine optimization experience a plus.
