e-Commerce Manager manages the development, deployment, and maintenance of e-commerce websites. Oversees e-commerce site developers to ensure that e-commerce sites are built and expanded based on evolving technology and business needs.     The E-commerce Business Manager will focus on driving growth for the Hayward e-commerce business unit by leveraging an objective-based mindset and delivering predictive data insights that inform and influence channel decisions.  This person will lead the development of high-performance category management strategies that will support our customers in growing the overall aftermarket pool equipment category.  Will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to provide customer-level and shopper insights that enable the development of a strong innovation pipeline and influence category-related research decisions.  Must be well-versed in marketplace models (1P, 2P, and 3P) to ensure the company’s strategy remains cutting edge and ahead of the algorithm, our media strategy is effective and efficient, and growth goals are achieved.  Will be a subject matter expert for e-commerce market trends, leveraging all available tools to drive an understanding of the changing competitive landscape, consumer targets, and promotional opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads cross-functional efforts to drive Hayward’s e-commerce objectives resulting in measurable revenue and profit growth.
    • Collaborates with the Marketing team on the direction of consumer-driven digital assets and product content to replicate the brick-and-mortar “touch & feel” experience virtually, through storytelling, images, infographics, and videos.
    • Analyzes data and uses business insights to identify, develop, and optimize e-commerce business opportunities.
    • Monitors and enforces Hayward’s policies including the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy, Authorized Online Reseller policy, reseller agreements, unauthorized online reseller measures, and quality control and performance standards.
    • Acts as the primary interface with select indirect e-commerce accounts to drive customer advocacy and sales growth, identify untapped business opportunities and deliver on key business objectives by providing best-in-class customer experience.
    • Interacts with third-party contract talent in areas of data science, brand protection, marketplace management, and others.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or other business-related field from a four-year college or university,
    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on online marketplace experience for a fast-paced brand or retailer. 
    • Advanced expertise in Amazon Vendor Central and paid advertising experience (pay-per-click) is a plus.
    • Must have highly developed analytical skills to be able to read and synthesize market and business data.
