Administration:
- Provide, execute and oversee efficient administrative support and guidance for volunteers involved in various chamber activities, ensuring motivation, management and development.
- Provide organizational support and direction necessary to ensure the success of the programs of the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce.
- Communicate in a timely, efficient manner to Board members, keeping Board members up-to-date on important issues between meetings.
- Communicate to the board financial operations, functions and activities.
- Maintain and manage content for CLCC social media accounts.
- Maintain and manage CLCC operations and finances.
Membership Services
- Assess membership needs and interests in order to assist in the development of programs which meet membership/stakeholder needs.
- Present a professional image in representing the CLCC with various publics.
- Actively market the CLCC to the community on a year-round basis to grow membership.
- Preserving member loyalty through an acceptable retention rate to sustain budget goals.
Program of Work
- Work with Chamber Committees to plan and execute goals.
- Assist the Board and committee chairs in evaluating the effectiveness and feasibility of all programs.
- Coordinate annual planning retreat and Board member orientation.
- Manage the Chamber’s leadership programs.
- Compose and execute all public relations messaging for Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce.
Special Events
- Responsible for developing budgets, recruiting volunteers, execution of events and final profitability of special events sanctioned by the Board of Directors.
- Evaluate potential new programs for recommendation to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in related field preferred.
- Previous community leadership preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with Canva, ChamberMaster and/or Adobe preferred.
- Must be able to work after hours.
- Must live in Columbus/Lowndes County Mississippi or be willing to relocate
