Drywall Installer plans, installs, and repairs drywalls to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in residential and commercial areas. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Drywall Installer may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Drywall Installer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Qualified Candidates Will:
- Have drywall installation and finishing experience
- Have a strong work ethic
- Be reliable
- Arrive on time
- Have reliable transportation to our office
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Job Responsibilities:
- Work effectively on your own and in a team environment.
- Complete small to medium drywall, stud baseplate removal and reinstall.
- Finish drywall to paint ready.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- May do light carpentry work.
- Maintain and clean all equipment and tools.
- Physical labor involving hauling at job sites
- Maintain Safe work environment
- Perform materials handling and storage, load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
- Previous experience in drywall installation required
- Previous construction a plus
- Driver's License
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crawling, and lifting items up to 90 pounds
