Drug Safety/Medical Information Specialist is responsible for collecting, monitoring, processing, and distributing adverse event reports and information queries for investigational and marketed products. Reviews safety and medical information for the assigned products, including safety components of protocols and studies for assigned drugs. Being a Drug Safety/Medical Information Specialist may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Drug Safety/Medical Information Specialist typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or related service field
and Certified by DMH or professionally licensed.
12 months, 8 hours daily, 8:00-5:00 (one hour lunch break)
As established by Region IV Mental Health Services in accordance with current salary scale
Responsibilities:
Treat individuals with dignity and respect
Help individuals maintain highest possible level of independent functioning
Make home visits as required by individual need and service plan
Perform routine assessments of the individual, family/home situation as it relates to the individual's needs
Link individuals to needed resources
Provide psycho-education to individuals as needed
Monitor medication compliance
Provide services as it relates to the service plan and individual's needs
Participate in consultation with other agencies
Complete all paperwork as scheduled
Work collaboratively with other mental health staff and outside agencies
Paiiicipate in agency meetings
Be punctual while performing all duties
Adhere to agency policies
Adhere to DMH standards for community support services service delivery
Complete all training requirements
Possess the ability to work independently and readily adapt to change
Maintain access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license
Adhere to the ACA Code of Ethics
Attend workshops/seminars as required (may involve overnight stay)
Adhere to agency dress code and demonstrate professional appeai·ance
Adhere to duties directed by Supervisors and Executive Director
