  • Job Summary:

    The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including utilizing Paycom software to process payroll and ensuring payroll submission by deadlines. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this role. The Payroll Specialist must have experience with Paycom.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Payroll Processing

    • Process payroll accurately and timely using Paycom software.
    • Enter payroll data, including wages, deductions, overtime, and bonuses, with precision.
    • Review and verify payroll transactions for accuracy before finalizing.
    • Handle payroll adjustments, including retroactive payments and deductions, as necessary.

    Payroll Submission

    • Ensure payroll is submitted by established deadlines to ensure timely payment to employees.
    • Collaborate with relevant departments to gather necessary payroll information for processing.
    • Address any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain payroll accuracy.

    Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
    • Prepare and submit payroll tax payments and filings accurately and on time.
    • Generate payroll reports for management and accounting purposes as needed.
    • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

    Benefit Administration

    • Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans, accurately within Paycom.
    • Process benefit deductions and contributions in conjunction with payroll processing.
    • Assist employees with inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and Paycom system usage.

    Record Keeping and Documentation

    • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data within the Paycom system.
    • Prepare and distribute pay stubs and tax forms, including W-2s and 1099s.
    • Ensure confidentiality of payroll information and sensitive employee data.

    Job Requirements:

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).

    Experience

    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role. Experience working with Paycom software for payroll processing is required.
