Overview:

R. Directional Drilling is seeking a full time Safety Manager. Seeking candidates who are effective communicators both written and oral, reliable, punctual, self-starters, and team players with a positive attitude. Expectations of travel are likely in surrounding states.

Duties:

• Manage safety program
• Facilitate and encourage a safety culture committed to continuous improvement
• Verify field work compliance with Federal, State and local regulations, company policy and industry best practices
• Manage drug and alcohol program and maintain safety documentation
• Coordinate and conduct safety training as necessary
• Assist management with methods to improve Safety practices and procedures
• Investigate all accidents and provide timely reporting

Job Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Minimum of 4 years experience in underground utility construction
• Minimum of 2 years of Management experience within a safety role
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Knowledge of utility and construction safety programs
• OSHA/DOT related experience is required
• Experienced within OSHA/DOT record keeping and recording
• Experienced in job hazard & safety analysis within the underground utility industry
• OSHA 10, 30 and 500 (Train the Trainer) Certified
• Basic understanding in Microsoft Word, excel, power point and typing skills.
