Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flex schedule, hours as needed outside regular)

Summary

Blenko Glass Company is a leading manufacturer of handmade glassware in the United States and has a long history of craftsmanship extending well over 100 years.  Historically Blenko Glass Company has been primarily wholesale and architectural glass (B2B) oriented but presently occupies a primarily eCommerce (B2C) sales model.  

We are looking for the next generation of leadership to help oversee our workforce of 70 employees and facilitate the final transition and growth of our eCommerce model.

The Director of Operations is an Administration role and the second highest leadership position on campus.  The candidate would report directly to the Vice President(s).  The individual in this position is responsible for overseeing employees, overseeing sitewide operations, upholding policies and procedures, ensuring quality work across campus, and other developmental activities for the administrative and technical aspects of management at Blenko Glass Company.

Job Functions to include but not limited to

• Implement company strategies, vision, and VP-directed initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
• Collaborate with VPs for operational decisions, goals, and external partnerships.
• Ensure smooth daily operations, efficiency, and compliance with company policy.
• Lead cross-departmental teams, offer feedback, and coordinate tasks with said teams.
• Work closely with Human Resources and lead that team with integrity as to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment and work culture.
• Manage additional HR functions to include hiring and firing of employees.
• Develop training, onboarding, and employee development programs.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a hot glass oriented field.
• Modern studio experience accepted, manufacturing/industrial experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
• Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
• High School diploma required
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Computer proficiency to analyze data in Excel, write reports, email correspondence, and operate other business related tools

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
• Experience in developing budgets and business plans
• Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
• Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: ERP, CRM)
• eCommerce experience a plus

Compensation

$64,000-74,000 (salary) depending on experience
