Drilling Operations Director directs and oversees the drilling, production, and engineering operations for an organization. POSITION SUMMARY
Lead overall assigned plant operation to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company’s quality standards and customer delivery requirements; oversee operations of plant production; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Direct the planning, development, and administration of assigned plant operation to include production operations, manufacturing activities, operational schedules maintenance, logistics, industrial engineering, purchasing quality, and financial.
· Direct the administration and maintenance of plant policies and practices.
· Oversee shift production schedules; review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
· Lead and oversee plant programs including preventative maintenance, operational efficiency of equipment, capital expenditures, security, quality, and food safety; provide recommendations for improving efficiency.
· Develop, lead and implement action plans to meet performance objectives and cost-effective systems goals; monitor KPIs, operating expenditures, personnel and wages.
· Guide production team to resolve work related problems; provide recommendations.
· Partner and develop relationships with key stakeholders as it relates to plant operations; obtain and review proposals; negotiate contracts including utility rates and adherence to regulations (i.e wastewater discharge); makes recommendations for selection
· Manage and supervise direct reports to include talent attraction and retention training, performance management evaluation, development, and coaching personnel.
· Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree or four (4) years’ work-related experience
· Seven (7) years of manufacturing experience
· Five (5) years of supervisory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· SQF certification
· HACCP certification
· Bilingual in English and Spanish

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
· Office and plant environment with exposure to noise, equipment, and machinery
· Facility temperature varies between 32 and 95 degrees, may occasionally exceed 95 degrees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
· Working hours will be spent in the plant or office environment.
· Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets should be worn on a regular basis.
COMPENSATION
· Depending on geography, skills, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
· This position is eligible for an incentive bonus, based on the achievements of company targets and individual performance expectations.
