Drilling Operations Director directs and oversees the drilling, production, and engineering operations for an organization. Oversees all aspects of planning and executing drilling projects, developing oil and gas fields, and analyzing reserves. Being a Drilling Operations Director is responsible for directing revisions or enhancements to troubleshoot and solve drilling problems. May coordinate drilling contractors and production managers/superintendents. Additionally, Drilling Operations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Drilling Operations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position Summary: Under general supervision operates two or more numerically controlled machines simultaneously to drill low tolerance holes in panels. Independently performs complex and standard machine setups involving loading NC programs, aligning the pinning of the panels, visually and mechanically inspecting the panels, and making the required adjustments. Perform the necessary tasks to keep multiple machines at or near capacity output levels.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, it is preferred for an individual to have one (1) year experience in the printed circuit industry and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. 1. Select drills from planning sheet call out.
2. Set up drilling machine and make work zero corrections from the 4-point x-rays.
3. Operate more than one drill when conditions permit.
4. Help others when time allows.
5. Remove broken drills and fix shallow drilled holes.
6. Clean the drill equipment and work area.
7. Log in and out of the Proms computer.
8. Empty trashcans and put in proper recycle bin.
Job Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Preferred one (1) year experience in the printed circuit industry, in Drilling.
3. Understanding of industry standards and appropriate application.
4. Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with management and supervisory staff.
5. Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.
6. Must be able to work with little supervision.
7. Preferred strong knowledge in military and rigid flex boards.
8. Computer skills required.
