    Description

    At ADS Services - Shield Pressure Controls has established a highly skilled team of pressure control professionals to deliver premium and innovative managed pressure drilling and well control solutions to the oil and gas industry.

    The Drilling Engineers will support all drilling operations for our customers. This position requires your involvement in the planning operations giving input for Managed Pressure Drilling technology applications in the drilling process. Support MPD operations both in the field and from the office. They must also be able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and clients.

    Training will be given in MPD engineering.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design both vertical and horizontal wells.
    • Monitor daily progress of drilling operations and provide technical support during operations. 
    • Provide technical support for different types of drilling wells, this includes both multilateral and extended reach horizontal oil and gas wells.
    • Excellent teamwork skills within integrated project teams to find the best solutions to drilling problems with a diverse and sometimes distant workforce (virtual teams).
    • Deliver technical assistance and advice to operating divisions on complex drilling operating problems.
    • Maintain continuous and timely communications with the key internal stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills and understanding of the latest industry technology.
    • Interact with the contractors, vendors, and employees on a professional level. Initiate the bridge building. A large part of the success of these projects relies on the positive active involvement from the field, which is a direct result of the relationships developed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications:

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
    • Engineering degree or other degree.
    • Proven increase in responsibility.
    • Drilling experience in multiple basins.
    • Basic computer skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Minimum of 3 years of drilling experience in various environments.
    • Oil and gas experience.

    • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
