Drilling Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Performs design evaluations and recommends alterations to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Being a Drilling Engineer may conduct risk assessment and cost estimation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Drilling Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Williston, VT based Engineers Construction, Inc. (ECI) has an opening in our Trenchless Division for a Directional Drilling Foreman with 5-10 years of experience.
A working knowledge of heavy equipment is required, as is experience working with directional drilling. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a CDL is preferred.
Position will require some level of project planning/coordination as well as some crew management. A high emphasis on safety is also a must.
Knowledge and experience of trenchless methods of construction (directional drilling, auger boring, pipe ramming, guided boring, pipe bursting and tunneling) are a plus.
