Drilling Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of oil and gas wells. Performs design evaluations and recommends alterations to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Being a Drilling Engineer may conduct risk assessment and cost estimation. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Drilling Engineer is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Must be willing to work and have a positive attitude. Seeking CDL Class B Driver's License, but that is not a must. Job requires good physical condition. Work will be performed outdoors. Clean drivers license required. 45 to 60 hours per week, with paid overtime. May be asked to work some weekends as needed, with prior notice. Experience with electrical and plumbing are great assets, and pay will be greater with experience.
