Drafting Supervisor supervises a team within an organization's computer-aided design (CAD) department. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of drafters and other employees working on design projects. Being a Drafting Supervisor ensures deadlines, goals, and production standards for the department are met. Analyzes data and reviews drawings/plans to ensure quality of work and project feasibility. Additionally, Drafting Supervisor reviews project results and makes recommendations for improvement. Provides CAD technical support and develops solutions. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Drafting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Drafting Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Pay rate: $18-$19 per hour
Days & Times: Monday to Friday (and every other weekend)
Hours may start as early as 7 am and may work as late as 11 pm; can vary from day to day basis
- hours will be discussed during the interview.
Criminal History check, drug screen, and e-Verify required
Valid driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Report required
Responsibilities:
- Review assignments with Area Manager and maintain contact with Support team.
- Perform site inspections.
- Maintain and establish lines of communication with customers.
- Assist with scheduling cleaning teams.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year (we'd love more!) of supervisory experience
- At least 1 year (we'd love more!) of janitorial experience
- Must maintain a clear driving record.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a continuous basis and occasionally up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass background check, MVR, drug screen, and e-Verify.
