Position Summary: Responsible for the use of software to create digital drawings and draft designs of parts per the given specifications from the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Must be reliable, cooperative, with high attention to detail, and work well independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to read blueprints and interpret bills of materials and routings.

· Breaks down information obtained from customer specifications, sketches, layout drawings, sample parts, and instructions furnished by others. Will convert the information into detailed drawings with section views, dimensions, assemblies, and weldments.

· Perform a variety of mathematical calculations using standard procedures.

· Responsible for coordinating with others to determine whether drawings can be executed efficiently and within expected tolerances.

· Prepare bill of materials and specifications when drawings are complete.

· Prepare document packets for shop floor production.

· Efficiently use Computer Assisted Drafting Design (CADD) equipment and software.

· Monitors work assignments and communicates any concerns with lead.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

· Associate’s degree, or equivalent, from a two-year college or technical school, and 2 years of drafting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SolidWorks drafting software experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
