Documentation Supervisor coordinates the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Collaborates with technical teams to prepare accurate content. Being a Documentation Supervisor reviews edits and approves the final content. Ensures that standardized documentation methods and tools are deployed and that required document control procedures are employed. Additionally, Documentation Supervisor monitors project deliverables and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of release notes, manuals, and online content. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Documentation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Documentation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsible for leading, facilitating and managing customer request for information relative to quality assurance documentation, 3rd party audits certificates and/or reports, kosher certificates, food safety questionnaires, certificate of analysis (COA’s), etc. Ensure timely and accurate provision of information requested. Maintain and manage the Customer Request for Information (CFRI) log and customer files to ensure all requests are captured and responded to within a reasonable timeframe. Provide support to sales, client services and other supply chain functions to drive business objectives. |
