The Supervisor must maintain a high level of proficiency in all departmental processes and job functions. Expectations include employee supervision, cost containment, employee performance management including coaching, motivating, and managing the team on how to deliver the best customer service possible to meet/exceed productivity and quality metrics.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager, Revenue Cycle. The position location is flexible, but the placement must be willing to travel frequently.
Responsibilities
- Works with the department Manager to determine staffing requirements, interviews, hires, and trains new employees
- Communicates and implements company work rules, performance standards, and departmental operating policies
- Facilitates employee review, discipline, coaching and counseling, and policy application
- Distributes assigned tasks to work group
- Provides direction of training and development within the work group
- Direct supervision of line employees including scheduling, time management, and performance monitoring
- Supervises training and development of Insurance Verification/Reverification Representative and ensures that all associates have a working knowledge of PIMS and are compliant with department policies
- Helps develop, implement, and monitor employee performance to measure productivity and to identify areas for improvement
- Maintains scheduling flexibility to ensure availability to meet the needs of the department for all hours of operation and maintains regular and consistent attendance
- Provides resolution of interdepartmental issues
- Leads by example to promote professionalism in all areas
- Continuously strive to improve team efficiency through process improvement
- Proficiently communicates both written and verbal formats with internal and external customers
- Always maintains a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information
- Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
- Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements
- Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent and 1 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of one year of prior supervisory experience is required.
- An Associate’s Degree (AA) from a two year college is a plus.
- Proficient with various Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
