Documentation Manager manages the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Develops and deploys standardized documentation methods and tools to efficiently produce high-quality content. Being a Documentation Manager establishes processes for effective document control. Plans and directs documentation projects and timelines. Additionally, Documentation Manager may act as final approver or editor for projects. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Documentation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Documentation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     This position facilitates improvement in the overall quality", completeness, and accuracy of medical record documentation. Obtains appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and Health Information Services coding staff to ensure that clinical documentation reflects the level of service rendered to patients is complete and accurate.

    Required qualification:

    • Associate's Degree in Nursing

    • Evidence of ongoing personal professional growth and education.

    • Required upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
