Documentation Clerk is responsible for clerical duties related to the maintenance of technical documentation.     Position: Inventory Clerk

    Location: Colonial Heights, VA 23834

    Schedule: 2nd Shift – 3PM – 11PM Monday - Saturday

    Compensation: $16.65/hour

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Operates the company's inventory and keeps inventory operations smooth and efficient in the stock room, warehouse, and/or receiving department.

    JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS

    • Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or receiving department; process inventory orders; inspect shipments; pack and unpack items; logs receiving items.
    • Prepare manual shipping records or fill out purchase order sheets; mark items using labeling equipment; prepares and applies shipping and mailing labels.
    • Coordinates with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
    • Researches prices with various suppliers; orders production supplies including but not limited to: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and office supplies.
    • Other duties as assigned
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Working knowledge of inventory control
    • Must possess organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • One (1) year of inventory control
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.

    WORK ENVIROMENT

    • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts (if requested)
    • Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
