Divisional Merchandising Manager directs and develops merchandising plans and operational systems to achieve financial objectives. Utilizes sales, research, and trend analytics to develop strategies for merchandise categories and optimize product assortments. Being a Divisional Merchandising Manager develops merchandise plans and pricing that support key strategic initiatives, launches, top sellers, seasonal campaigns, and trends. Partners across functions to manage vendor relationships, identify new vendors, and negotiate favorable contract terms. Additionally, Divisional Merchandising Manager requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, business or other related field. Typically reports to top management. The Divisional Merchandising Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Divisional Merchandising Manager typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Divisional Manager, Logistics and Purchasing coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, and distribution of the company's goods.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Hires and trains departmental supervisors and workforce.
    • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
    • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
    • Collaborates with Inventory Supervisor to maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at warehouses, and in trucks.
    • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
    • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
    • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
    • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
    • Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
    • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
    • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
    • Manage the Logistics Supervisor and ensure daily job deliveries and pick up are on time and operating smoothly.
    • Manage the Purchasing Supervisor and ensure daily purchasing needs of the company are being achieved efficiently.
    • Manage the Inventory Supervisor and ensure the inventory needs of the company are being achieved efficiently.
    • Daily review of Staging Zone to ensure all next day jobs are staged with all components and ready for loading.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficient with Service Titan.


    Education and Experience:

    • Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    • Inventory Supervisor
    • Purchasing Supervisor
    • Team of Delivery Drivers who will report to Logistics Supervisor.
    • Inventory Staff who will report to Inventory Supervisor.
    • Service Purchasing Agents who will report to Purchasing Supervisor
