  • Duties and Responsibilities

    PCI-GS requires a productive team member to provide clerical assistance supporting the Department of Justice.

    • Provide support to the Office of Management Information of the Civil Division of the Department of Justice
    • Maintain a 98% accuracy and required production levels/volume of work
    • Adhere to prescribed deadlines for processing documents and completing work
    • Review legal documents and extract relevant information
    • Develop criteria and perform database queries to conduct searches on complex database and identify relevant case records
    • Apply detailed rules and procedures consistently and accurately in a deadline driven environment
    • Perform self and peer quality assurance reviews
    • Perform clerical duties such as assembling documents, photocopying, filing, generating address labels and other duties as assigned
    • Share late shift duties (9:30 am to 6:00 pm) with other staff
    Job Requirements

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma
    • Experience in an office environment
    • Experience applying detailed rules and procedures
    • Experience meeting deadlines
    • Experience demonstrating teamwork
    • Good organizational skills with attention to details and follow-up actions
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Good working knowledge of MS Word
    • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to work and interact professionally with colleagues, government staff and other contractor personnel

    Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment.

    If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
