Distribution Manager manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Manager utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Manager ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Distribution Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Position:
    The Safety Manager, reporting to the Director of Safety and Security, is responsible for developing, overseeing and enforcing all safety practices in the workplace.
    The compensation range for this position is 90K-105K per year, depending on experience.

    You Day-to-Day:
    • Maintains detailed knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and how to use those guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
    • Develop, prioritize and direct programs to reduce injuries and accidents and drive a culture of safety.
    • Continuously measure and evaluate the effectiveness of Barrett’s current safety program in meeting our goals.
    • Drive employee involvement at all levels of the organization and encourage active participation in the safety programs.
    • Lead meetings and communicate rationale for decisions or changes.
    • Develops health and safety plans that meet OSHA standards.
    • Stays current on state and federal workplace safety regulations.
    • Runs informational meetings for employees regarding proper health and safety habits that help maintain a safe workplace.
    • Maintain administrative control over all required safety documentation.
    • Responds to on-site emergencies and investigates workplace injuries and accidents.
    • Identifies and correct potential hazards before they lead to injury
    • Conduct official audits of each building to ensure safe work and safe food storage practices are followed and to identify and correct potential hazards before they lead to injury or customer complaints.
    • Identify root causes of non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
    • Oversee safety and sanitation training for new and existing employees for all facilities.

    What You'll Bring to the Table:
    • High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
    • Certifications and/or completed course work in OSHA regulatory compliance preferred.
    • A minimum of five (5) years related experience preferred.
    • Detailed knowledge of current OSHA and FDA standards and how they impact the workplace.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and warehouse management systems.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
    • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
