Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee the efficient and effective distribution of goods within our organization. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory control, walk in customers, answering phones budgeting. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize distribution processes and improve overall efficiency
- Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling deliveries, managing freight carriers, and tracking shipments
- Oversee inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels. Monthly inventory report
- Work with walk in customers, answer phones, manage pool show room.
- Manage equipment and building maintenance.
- Ensure safe operations of forklifts, equipment, etc.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to transportation, warehousing, and product handling
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Technology - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word) CRM Software, etc.
- Proven experience as a Distribution Manager or similar role in a fast-paced distribution center environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation management, and inventory control principles
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
