Distribution Manager manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Manager utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Manager ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Distribution Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise DOT drivers and the warehouse manager to ensure a safe working environment for all freight movement.
- Determine when product is distributed, the quantity sent, and the store it will be shipped to.
- Implementing strategies to ensure all products, incoming and outbound, are sent and received promptly.
- Process paperwork and necessary information required for incoming or outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Utilize the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency for distributing and storing materials.
- Participates in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring, and improving staff performance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous experience as a manager in a warehouse or distribution center or experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Ability to coach, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
- Ability to multitask, be organized, and demonstrate outstanding time management skills.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
Candidates must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role.
This job requires standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching overhead, gripping, squatting, and carrying the product to and from the delivery and customer vehicles as well as to areas within the store.
