SiteOne has seen tremendous growth over the last few years.  We are looking to hire a Director, Distribution to help us sustain this growth while building the scalable organizational structures, processes, and systems needed to transform SiteOne into a Best-in-Class Distribution organization.

Key areas of focus include:

• Piloting and rolling out new direct to customer and specialty programs;
• Identifying areas of opportunity to improve efficiencies and throughput within our Distribution network and working cross-functionally to execute large scale change;
• Capacity planning;
• Assessing DC network performance;
• Enhancing our relationship with our 3PL;
• Ensuring best in class service levels to over 640 branch locations (LOTC and load quality)

This position will require working with cross functional teams to identify and implement scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have previous multi-unit distribution and 3PL management experience, experience with implementing a WMS, and have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service for a wholesale or retail organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive day-to-day efficiencies at the SiteOne DC’s through an analytical and customer first mindset
• Develop, document, and execute standard operating procedures across all facilities
• Successfully lead a team of Distribution Analysts, and Managers and a 3PL
• Work with internal business units to ensure processes and service levels meets the needs of the Branches and customers
• Establishing and managing productivity and service level standards, measures consistently, and implement best-in-class standards
• Manages monthly and annual budgets / COGS flow, completes a root-cause analysis on driving factors, reports out to leadership
• Develop a long-term strategy, sets milestones, and measures actuals versus assumptions
• Have a well-balanced perspective on business needs, software and 3PL limitations, and available solutions that will meet the needs of the Branches and customers, effectively develops and implements solutions
• Develop KPI’s and other metrics to dashboard 3PL’s and vendors on performance
• Analyze and recommend improvements to current systems and processes
• Develop, measure, and analyze performance and develop improvement plans to maximize efficiency
• The Director, Distribution will report to the VP, Logistics and will be based out of Roswell, GA or can be remote

• 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience
• 7 years’ experience in distribution and 3PL management and operations
• 5 years’ experience in analytics (root cause, basic efficiency metrics, developing scorecards)
• A track record of providing superior customer service and exceeding expectations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers and staff at all organizational levels
• Experience in the green distribution, irrigation, nursery, or landscape industry is a plus
• Preferred experience:
• Experience managing a transition from a 3PL distribution model to an in-house model
• Experience implementing a SaaS based warehouse management application
