Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Distribution Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Location : Corinth, MS

    Shift : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Monday-Friday (with 24 / 7 support)

    What you will do :

    • Manage and lead a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse team environment
    • Ensure acceptable levels of performance in assigned business unit by meeting or exceeding productivity standards and cost control management
    • Ensure exceptional customer service by meeting key performance indicators (order fill rate accuracy, unannounced inspections, inventory accuracy, etc.

    • Achieve performance goals through KPI monitoring, promote LEAN principles, and process improvement
    • Lead and maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment.Meet or exceed SCLS corporate safety goals
    • Effectively communicate goals, expectations, areas for improvement, and successes to associates
    • Coach, train, and mentor associates allowing them the opportunity to grow and develop
    • Conduct annual performance reviews

    Our ideal candidate will have

    • Assist our wide range of clients with the needs and demands of their supply chains
    • 2 years of previous experience in a leadership role with a track record of implementing and managing change
    • Listening skills and strong abilities to collaborate, communicate and motivate others to accomplish goals
    • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and decision-making to overcome obstacles and maximize opportunities
    • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment while focusing on exceeding operational goals
    • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, agility, and ability to be cross-trained to do more where needed
    • High school diploma / GED required
    • It’s not required, but it would be even better if you have
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement training and experience
    • Supply chain / logistics experience is a plus but not required
    • Technical savvy (intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based, and job-specific software applications.
