Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.   • The Doctors Company Business Development team has an opportunity for an a Director of Digital Distribution and Program Management. This is a hybrid opportunity at one of The Doctors' Company's offices, such as Napa, CA, East Lansing, MI, Austin, TX or Jacksonville, FL.


    Position Mission:

    Under the direction of the SVP, Business Development, manage the growth of the company’s digital distribution channel for allied health care professionals, dentists, and other clinical segments (to be developed) to achieve revenue targets. With Marketing, develop/ apply deep understanding of consumer/ clinician behavior to improve the relevancy of marketing strategies, champion innovative campaign design, and optimize product and digital presence with consumers and agents/brokers to generate sales. With Underwriting/ Actuarial, optimize product features and pricing. Oversee advisory boards to align offering with consumer needs. Concurrent with Digital Distribution responsibilities, manage national program endorsements, professional liability insurance committees, and annual conference meetings and exhibitions. Position includes oversight and monitoring of regional programs / sponsorships and compliance to program standards and facilitation of quarterly Program Review Committee meetings. Frequent out-of-state travel is required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences, with a focus on business administration, finance, marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • MBA preferred
    • Property & casualty producer’s license
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Five to eight (5-8) years of medical professional liability insurance sales experience
    • Ability to travel domestically

    Salary Range: $112,700 - $139,217


    Responsibilities:

    Digital Distribution Channel Growth

    • Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's digital distribution channel for allied health care professionals, dentists, and other clinical segments.
    • Enhance direct to consumer and independent agent/ broker channels to achieve revenue targets
    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within the healthcare industry for digital distribution.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team apply knowledge of consumer and clinician behavior, ensuring the relevancy of marketing strategies.
    • Champion innovative campaign design based on deep consumer/clinician insights.
    • Optimize product and digital presence to enhance consumer engagement and generate sales.
    • Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams to optimize product features and pricing.
    • Ensure that products meet the evolving needs of the target market.
    • Regularly analyze and report on the performance of products in the market.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including allied health care professionals, dentists, brokers, and industry partners.
    • Coordinate and attend association conference meetings and exhibitions to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation in the industry.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
    • Oversee advisory boards to align product offerings with the evolving needs and preferences of consumers.
    • Utilize advisory board input for product development and improvement.
    • Ensure effective communication between advisory boards and the company.

    Endorsed Program Management

    • Manage national program endorsements and professional liability insurance committees.
    • Coordinate and attend annual conference meetings and exhibitions to enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the industry.
    • Monitor and oversee regional programs and sponsorships to ensure compliance with established standards.
    • Facilitate quarterly Program Review Committee meetings to assess and enhance program effectiveness.

    Stakeholder Partnership

    • Leverage the exclusive licensing agreement with the non-profit credentialing partner to enhance the company's market position.
    • Foster strong relationships with credentialing partner and explore additional collaborative opportunities.

    Technical Knowledge & Professional Development

    • Professional development goals are employee or management-led objectives to accomplish during a particular time period. (Continuing Education, professional organizations, research, improve job performance, or increased duties and responsibilities, skill-based training, job assignments, etc.)

    Other duties as assigned

    • Work on various projects and assignments made by management
    • Participate actively and provide updates to leadership on assigned projects within given deadlines
