Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders. Being a Distribution Clerk, Sr. ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared. Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information. Additionally, Distribution Clerk, Sr. complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Distribution Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working under the supervision of the Director of Materiel Management, incumbent is responsible for collecting and transporting soiled linen from designated areas throughout the hospital. Delivers clean linen throughout the facility. When not functioning as a Linen Aide, performs duties as Medical Supply Clerk. In this position the incumbent is responsible for monitoring medical supply usage for the nursing units, ensuring appropriate supplies are replenished in a timely basis. Daily function as Supply Clerk or Linen Clerk will be designated by the Department Director.
