We are currently seeking a Distribution Clerk to join our team. As a Distribution Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center. Warehouse Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving fabricated material and tools between jobsites

• Basic vehicle maintenance such as checking oil and changing wipers

• General shop clean up and organization

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day

• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery

• Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested

• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor

• Assists in general warehouse duties when assigned tasks are completed

• Receives shipments efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintains records of goods that have been ordered and corresponding shipping dates.

• Reports major shipping problems to purchasing agent

• Inspects shipments to confirm that products received matches specifications

• Maintains business relationships with suppliers to ensure their assistance if an unexpected event occurs

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to drive large trucks

• Ability to move materials weighing up to 35 lbs. with or without accommodation

• Responsible

• Willing to learn

• Ability to drive safely

• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps

• Ability to plan delivery routes

• Ability to maintain basic logs and records

• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision

• Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education and Experience

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Forklift experience preferred
