Distribution Clerk performs a variety of clerical, customer service, and administrative duties to support operations of a distribution center. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders. Being a Distribution Clerk ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared. Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information. Additionally, Distribution Clerk complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Distribution Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Scan, organize, file and maintain mail and legal documentation Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is sorted and processed in a timely manner and reaches the appropriate destinations Maintain filing of records, retrieval of files and recording file locations Courier documents to and from court house, post office and other locations Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person General administrative duties as needed (i.e. faxing, copying, typing, etc.) Minimum Qualifications Experienced with Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong team-player with strong interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidential information with the utmost of sensitivity Ability to use scanning equipment Preferred Skills & Experience - These are additional skills and experience that are not required to hold this position, but may provide candidates who possess them an edge over candidates who do not. File and document management experience Prior law firm or office experience Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting with regular business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Your schedule will be determined by your supervisor at time of hire. This role is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files (up to 50 lbs), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
