Oversees one or more of the distribution center functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Supervisor monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Supervisor utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Distribution Center Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Distribution Center Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Focus :

    • Lead, motivate, and coach warehouse associates handling pharmaceutical products, ensuring clear instructions and effective task delegation.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement coaching plans to improve employee performance.
    • Monitor and manage daily workload to ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment of pharmaceutical orders, in compliance with regulations.
    • Identify and address operational bottlenecks, implementing solutions to improve efficiency while maintaining product integrity.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including pick accuracy, cycle times, and error rates, reporting results to the Distribution Center Manager.
    • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures, with a focus on hazardous materials handling and controlled substances.
    • Oversee inventory control procedures, maintaining accurate stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, the Distribution Center Manager, and other departments as needed.
    • Participate in regular meetings and collaborate with other supervisors and managers to ensure smooth coordination across the distribution center.
    • Identify and report any inventory issues or discrepancies to the Distribution Center Manager immediately.

    Skill Set :

    • 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a distribution center, pharmaceutical experience preferred.
    • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive, productive, and safety-conscious work environment.
    • In-depth understanding of distribution operations, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP) regulations, inventory control, order fulfillment, and safety procedures.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, etc.) is a plus.
